P2K has replaced the aging bridge at Milepost 1.77 on Williamson Cemetery Road in the Chattahoochee–Oconee National Forest, ensuring safe, long-term access to the Rock Creek recreation area.
The project replaced an undersized bottomless arch pipe culvert with a durable, 90-foot single-span bridge. By utilizing prestressed concrete box beams supported on cast-in-place caps and H-pile foundations, the new structure significantly increases the stream’s hydraulic capacity. This enhances environmental resilience by reducing upstream flooding and protecting the Rock Creek stream corridor, while providing a low-maintenance, serviceable crossing for generations to come.
